Level 3 will be suitable for all candidates who have already developed a good foundation of practical skills and technical knowledge in the light motor vehicle environment and hold a level 2 qualification in Motor Vehicle. They will wish to further develop their skills in automotive diagnostics and repair.

Candidates will have a Level 2 Diploma in light vehicle maintenance and repair or equivalent qualification and will have or be working towards a grade 4 in English and Maths.

During the course, you will cover a range of topics that will give you the skill and knowledge to be successful in the Motor vehicle sector. You�ll cover things like diagnostic and repair of vehicle systems including: Engines and associated systems Vehicle electrics Chassis systems Transmission systems Working safely on Hybrid vehicles

After completion of the Level 3 Light Vehicle Diagnostic and Repair course, you will have developed the skills and knowledge to gain employment as a Vehicle technician or move into other sectors such as a motorcycle or heavy vehicle technician. Job salaries range from 18k to 30k per year depending on skill level, time in service, and additional qualifications you may hold such as Hybrid training, Mot tester trained or Air Conditioning qualifications.
